Susan Fenton: City far from finished in beautifying Briggsmore

What a shame that Briggsmore Avenue – an important byway into our city that has recently undergone a facelift – is still an abomination! The problem is the north-side fencing, or lack of it, from Tully to Prescott. Surely the city could trim up the shrubbery, rake the leaves and paint and/or repair the 35 mismatched graffiti strewn fences requiring the homes there to tuck their blue tarps back into their yards instead of having them blow into the sidewalk area like tattered sails.

Actually, Modesto should erect and maintain fencing in this area! The new sidewalks are nice, but to walk them would not be pleasant with this fencing situation.
