Brooks Judd: Republican obstructionism is dangerous
The Constitution states the president is supposed to submit a name for confirmation when a vacancy occurs on the Supreme Court. It does not matter if the president is in the first year or last year of his presidency. Once you have been elected president by the citizens of the United States, you are expected to fulfill your duties. The Republicans apparently are not familiar with the Constitution.
The Republican lackeys and “know nothings” want our elected president to disavow his Constitutional duties. They openly warn him not to submit a name because “It wouldn’t be right.” I seriously wonder how the Republicans can be so transparent in their hatred to President Obama and treasonous disloyalty to the citizens of the United States.
President Obama could nominate Moses and the Republicans, out of sheer spite and a devious devotion to their collective Luddite ways, would vote “no” within an hour. If these representatives of the GOP were not so dangerous and hell-bent on destroying our democracy they would be laughable.
