Leslie Shaw Klinger: Setting rules for having kids sounds ... like Nazism
Re “What about impoverished kids?” (Page 11A, Feb. 15): The writer had the courage to reveal the thoughts of those perpetrating the true War on Women. He wrote: “no woman should be allowed to reproduce” unless she meets a criteria deemed appropriate. He used words that, on the surface, sound reasonable but echo the Nazis and Facists and Chinese Communist Party. It all boils down to this: you will be the “right kind of person” or you may not reproduce.
No one says the living conditions that many of the poor children of this county and in this country endure are acceptable. It is one reason we Christians, with our crosses, provide the stop-gap for social programs the mega-rich refuse to admit are necessary. The letter writer, however, thinks the only people responsible for these conditions are Christians and women. Where are the men?
As a child of immigrants and a member of what the “wrong” religion, I am grateful that you finally exposed the hatefulness of the left. I am so sorry we are not your type of people; I am so grateful you were not there to determine who in my family was allowed to reproduce.
