Cecelia Lein: Editorial writer a blight on the human spirit

Re “On this special day, we resolve” (Opinions, Jan. 1): Just opened The Modesto Bee and was relaxing on this New Year’s Day when I began reading the Opinions Page. When I finished reading the editorial, I came away with a resolution of my own: I will rejoice the day Opinions Page Mike Dunbar takes his vitriol and cynicism and moves on to another community. He is the most depressing writer I have read in a long time. He serves no useful purpose to propel this community forward toward a better quality of life and apparently feels so confident in is own opinions that he has completely closed off his mind to any real solutions to problems that are impacting this town. You are a real blight on the human spirit.
