Brooks Judd: Trump, Cruz make it tough to be a Republican
Trump+Cruz = RIP for the GOP. It must be difficult and painful to be a member of today’s GOP. Having the likes of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as “leaders” or your party must be an insult to members and the GOP’s storied history. I can only imagine how it must feel to hear the inane blowhard Trump orate with his complete lack of facts while Cruz wants to bomb everyone into oblivion.
There are members of the GOP who have not lost control of their faculties. They must feel a bit like the Romans who lived under the tyranny and chaos of Caligula. How do sane, caring citizens stand up to the likes of Trump and Cruz? The people of the United States will find out this coming November. If Caligula is elected, the comparison to the fall of the Roman Empire will be fully realized and the tea party, billionaire right-wing GOP will be the reason. I hope members of the Republican Party will come to their senses before it’s too late.
Brooks Judd, Turlock
