Robert Van Groningen: Wishing we had a president like Kennedy or Reagan

Older Americans remember presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan as real patriots. Both believed in American greatness and they fought adversity head-on.

What a contrast to our current commander in chief! What president has ever apologized for American “imperialism”? What chief executive has 75 U.S. State Department employees on the terror watch list? What commander in chief believes climate change is much more dangerous than terrorism?

Who is this person that resides in the White House? Does Obama possess a huge character flaw? Or, perhaps Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s preaching has warped Barack’s reasoning. President Obama had many chances to be pro-active in the Middle East against ISIS. Because of his dithering, Americans are witnessing terrorism in our own neighborhoods! U.S. intelligence personnel are overwhelmed by the number of suspected terrorists that urgently need to be monitored.

Our president and the Islamic terrorists believe Americans are living in fear. The real truth is that American partners and Christians “fear no evil.”
