Eric Thompson: Blame those dumb enough to let Malik into the country

Two days after the horrific shooting in San Bernardino, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch stated that one of her worst fears was that people of Middle Eastern descent or of the Muslim faith living in the U.S. would face discrimination or harassment because of the shooting. I agree with her 100 percent.

Of the 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, only a small fraction should be considered any threat to our way of life. However, one day after the shooting, Lynch and every other liberal in America was calling the NRA a quasi-terrorist organization and their members complicit in murder for not allowing President Obama to trample our Second Amendment rights. As if any new law would prevent terrorism or violence.

Quit blaming honest, law-abiding citizens for government failures. The true blame lies with whoever thought letting Tashfeen Malik have a visa was a good idea. And our gazillion-dollar intelligence agencies that was five steps behind two terrorists who posted their intentions on Facebook.
