Chris Henry: Are we getting a Benghazi-style coverup of clinic shooting?

With several articles and editorials recently published about the so-called Planned Parenthood shooting, I want to bring up some facts and points I’ve not yet read in The Bee. First, the shooting began near a Chase Bank down the street, not at the Planned Parenthood. Second, Robert Dear, the gunman, did not shoot anyone inside the Planned Parenthood. All victims were shot outside the clinic. These two facts alone contradict the proclaimed narrative that “some videos” incited this man to kill people involved with abortion services. That type of reasoning is reminiscent of the Benghazi cover-up.

Lastly, I don’t think the irony is lost on the public that the media is finally concerned about humans being killed at Planned Parenthood.

Chris Henry, Waterford

Editor’s note: According to all reports from Colorado Springs police, The Associated Press, CBS News and all other sources, all shots were fired from within the Planned Parenthood Clinic. Early reports that the shooting began at the Chase Bank were quickly dismissed as inaccurate.
