Trish Erdelatz: Glad someone called out O’Reilly on his rudeness

Amen to Victor Davis Hanson’s column “Has Bill O’Reilly gone too far?“ (Page 3B, Nov. 19). It is tiresome to watch and listen to his bellicose and disrespectful behavior toward those he interviews. It seems that what he has to say is far more important than what others contribute to the conversation. This self-appointed importance is the root his arrogance. The result is the lack of consideration and rudeness to others. OReilly runs roughshod over others and their rights because he has to be in control. God Bless Charles Krauthammer, Dr. Ben Carson and others who have retained gentle and quiet spirits in the midst of O’Reilly’s desire to always be right.

He professes his Christian faith, but seems to be ignorant of St. Paul’s letter to the people living in Corinth: “Love does not behave rudely” (1 Corinthians 13:5). Maybe he should stop writing books and start reading the Bible.
