James Sandner: Bee should do better research on warming, Middle East

Re “Our View: Paris crucial, but climate fight is mostly a local one” (Nov. 16): Does The Bee have someone from the White House writing their editorials? The columns about manmade global warming and the President’s Middle East policy are a collection of talking points that are strikingly similar to themes on the White House webpage and in the president’s speeches.

Instead of parroting administration bromides, why doesn’t The Bee conduct investigative journalism on these issues? It is tiresome to keep reading that manmade global warming is settled science because 90 percent of “scientists” believe in a computer model that repeatedly proves to be inaccurate and unreliable.

The Middle East policy has been a complete failure for both political parties. Your journalists could consult history books to read about the rise of Islam and how it has been used to subjugate and slaughter millions of Hindus, Christians and Jews for centuries. The various sects within Islam cannot agree on anything and wage war constantly against one another. The use of taqiyya by Muslims makes it difficult to trust what they say. Be a real newspaper and keep us informed about the complex nature of these critical issues.
