David Wright: Voters have spoken, Ridenour has my support

I would like to thank all the volunteers who worked on my campaign and the voters who voted for me in Modesto, District 6. This election was about two people who have a heart for Modesto and want to see it become a better city. The voters decided that Doug Ridenour would be their choice to represent them and I have congratulated Doug on his election. He knows that he has my support and I’m willing to work with him to make Modesto better.

Modesto citizens have elected three new members that have a heart for Modesto and our new council will be working together for the common good of Modesto. To the candidates who did not win, thank you for stepping up and being a candidate and working hard for what you believe in. Modesto was well served by having great choices in choosing who would represent them on our city council. I encourage all the candidates to reach out to our new elected council members and make yourself available in any way possible to work on making our city a better place for all of us. It’s going to take everyone working together to solve our issues.
