Yvonne Hudson: Mitchell Road needs to be cleaned up
Has anyone driven down Mitchell Road by the airport lately? How attractive! The median is falling apart and continuously tagged. Even with garbage cans at the end of it, there is still litter and now shopping carts strewn about. The top of the median is the ugliest barricade I’ve ever seen. Half of it is missing or torn. Can you imagine landing at the airport and looking down on this? It says loudly that Modesto doesn’t care about its image.
I know I harp on these subjects, and I will continue to do so until someone in city government takes action. I know that there are people out there who feel the same way. I live in Modesto and I care!
