Laura Dickinson-Turner: Like a racy comedy? Then see ‘A Flea in Her Ear’
The opening night of “A Flea In Her Ear” last Thursday at CSU Stanislaus was pulsing with the energy of the student actors who threw themselves fully and wholly into this fast-paced, uproariously funny farce. Directed by department chair John Mayer, the play is three acts but the energy and talent of the performers makes it a very enjoyable 2.5 hours of theater-going. We are a lucky community to have such joyful work being produced in our own backyard.
The play runs throughout this weekend with shows Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. I recommend you make time to see this show!
Oh! And one more thing – this is definitely a PG-13/R rated show. The humor is very racy and suggestive, and there are a couple of instances of adult language. So if you are fans of comedies like “The Hangover” or “Bridesmaids,” you will definitely love this show!
