Bill Lebo: Christmas music now? I won’t be listening

To the Station Manager/Programming Director of radio station KJSN – Sunny 102.3 FM: When I turned on my radio on the morning of Nov. 14th I discovered you have chosen to air nothing but Christmas music, 24/7. Veteran’s Day was only three days ago and Thanksgiving is two weeks away.

While getting everyone into the Christmas and holiday spirit is important, so is keeping the holidays in perspective to the calendar. How about waiting until the day after Thanksgiving to begin your Christmas music marathon? How many times will the same, very familiar songs and artists be aired during the next 40 days? While I regularly enjoy listening to your station every morning, as I have for the past 30 years, I will be finding another one starting today. I will probably return to your station once regular programming is re-established.

A former loyal listener.

Bill Lebo, Manteca
