Victoria Rogers: Owner didn’t call off his dogs

Years ago I used to take walks on the outskirts of Hughson. I enjoyed fresh air and it being peaceful; thought I would try it again. While out there, I noticed a few cans. My friend recycles, so she’ll get them. I heard dogs in the distance.

As I walked on the other side of the street, two dogs charged me. They were constantly barking, growling and nipping at my ankle. This did not stop for a good 3 minutes. I didn’t look at them. I did notice the owner and yelled to him, “Could you call your dogs off me.”

He looked at me and did absolutely nothing. I am a woman in my late 30s with a heart condition. What is wrong with people today? What if the dogs had made contact?
