Ross W. Lee: Are we a civilized community, or not?
I love dogs. Some of my best friends are dogs. As a civilized community, we need to consider how it is possible that one of our own can be viciously mauled and killed by a pack of dogs. The man was trying to save his mother from the same fate and she watched in horror as her son was ripped apart by animals. For a good reason, it is not lawful for me to keep a tiger in my back yard. We can do better. This horrific tragedy should never happen.
