Charlie Leffingwell: Blame Jerry Brown for these droughts

Does anyone remember the last time we had a major drought in the 1970s? Who was governor then? That’s right, Jerry Brown. Is this a coincidence? Perhaps not.

God controls the weather, not man. He will keep control of it despite all this nonsense about climate change. I am embarrassed and ashamed to have Brown as governor. His evil ways and the evil ways of the leaders of California have brought this drought upon us again. When the Democrats support killing life at both ends with abortion and now doctor-assisted suicide, is there any wonder why our state suffers?

Our leaders continue to destroy California. Has anyone mentioned the disappearance of controlled burns in our state? They are designed to burn the tinder that burns out of control in times like these. Oh yeah, the drought helps the current bad situation, but the common sense of controlled burns has been deemed a bad thing because a controlled burn can get out of control. It would be so wonderful to get rid of all of the leaders in our state government and replace them with people who are driven by common sense and not political ideologies.
