Sheriff, take better care of our car

Re “Stanislaus County sheriff’s vehicle targeted in burglary” (Page A1, Oct. 31): Sheriff, here’s a novel idea: How about parking your car in the garage? Anyone who is issued a vehicle that is paid for by us the taxpayer should have to park that vehicle in their garage. If they can’t (because of all of the other stuff that is in the garage), then they can’t have the vehicle. Such a simple solution!

Our tax dollars now will have to pay for the repair and the missing items. Go figure!
