Ronald H. Scott: What is status of moving locomotive?
What has happened to the plan to move the Santa Fe steam engine from Beard Brook Park to the Amtrak Station? A few years ago there was a gentleman who worked for the city of Modesto who was working on the move; he told me he had funds lined up to pay for it. I believe he left Modesto for another job and there has been nothing about moving the engine since. They have engines big enough to move it now.
It is a beautiful part of history and should be where more people could enjoy it.
