Manny Coronilla: Kentucky court clerk stands up for what is right

Re “Kim Davis is no religious martyr” (Opinions, Sept. 9): The account in your issue was good and awe inspiring. I believe Kim Davis, the Rowan County, Ky., clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, is an awesome person. She is not only going by her conscience, but the wisdom God has given her the ability to know right from wrong.

The media tries to report that most people were overjoyed when the Supreme Court ruled on the side of gay marriage, when in reality most people are against same-sex marriage.

Kudos to Kim Davis for she will be blessed for standing up for what God wants us to stand up to.

Manny Coronilla, Turlock
