Ken Hansen: Kenoyer follows through, gets dangerous intersection fixed

Councilwoman Jenny Kenoyer will get my vote when she runs again for office. She stopped by a few times investigating a dangerous traffic problem that I told her about, one we had lived with for years. Four accidents had happened in 2014 alone at the sharp turn connecting Sunrise Avenue and Sheffield Lane. Modesto City police responded to each occurrence and filed reports. The previous neighbors and I had also suffered property damage. Fortunately no one was ever killed, though some were hurt pretty bad. One time a drunk driver missed the turn, spun out and totaled my parked car.

Why is it that a city council member must get involved before any action is taken? I tried time and again to get the city to do something, but never got anywhere. Thanks again, Jenny, for following through.

Ken Hansen, Modesto
