Dianne Stahl: Reconfigured College is a nightmare
I am a returning MJC student, and with the newly re-configured College Avenue – which includes an extensive stretch of clearly defined middle lane with lots of yellow bumps – drivers are using the turning lane as though it is another main lane. There is a significant flow of traffic that enters onto College from downtown and the Kansas exit, which perplexes me as to why they turned the road into one lane going that direction. Cars get backed up at the Morris Avenue crosswalk. These folks take matters into their own hands and head down the turning lane, full speed ahead! You can’t even use the turning lane to make a left onto Morris because there is oncoming traffic in the turning lane! It’s a nightmare!
