Rita Murphy: Big money wants to oust Torlakson

As a teacher I am confidently supporting Tom Torkalson as State Superintendent of schools. He is an educator who is working with teachers, administrators and communities to strengthen our programs.

Torkalson has proven himself as a teacher and is now leading our state to a better future. The media has so much influence over what we believe and the latest attacks on the profession of teaching are discouraging.

The money flowing into the Marshall Tuck campaign have corporate interests in mind. A few very wealthy businessmen think they can solve the problems in schools with their money and who they choose to be their decoy. Don’t be fooled by the advertisements; it seems like big money has crept into many campaigns this fall with their negativity. Torkalson is a proven leader who is working for our children.
