Joyce Massey: People took things that were meant for the Cancer Society
To the people who helped themselves to our donation items:
On Sept. 4, we put out our donations for the Cancer Society, with their green tag attached to a chair.
Checked on items that we put up by our garage door and an artificial tree was missing. Had to run some errands, gone about 1 hour; when I got home, two chairs, along with Cancer Society tag, were gone. The thieves had also helped themselves to other things in boxes and bags.
My husband and I are both cancer survivors, and we think the people who helped themselves to our donations should send a donation to the Cancer Society. So sad when people just take things that are not theirs.
