Stephen Delzer: Big ruts left on Briggsmore
It’s great to see some of our tax dollars being used on improvements in the city of Modesto, but after they resurfaced the section of Briggsmore Avenue from McHenry to College avenues, they just slurry sealed over the existing ruts created by big rigs. It seems worse now than before. I have, on several occasions, found myself correcting my vehicle because of it getting stuck in the ruts, and almost side-swiping the vehicle in the next lane. Instead of spending all the money on just resurfacing, they should have fixed the existing issues. Not to mention the $57,000 bike lane barrier screw up!
