Reg Smith: Even murder can be ‘legal’
Re “Legally, abortion is not murder” (Letters, Oct. 23): I found this letter to the editor regarding murder not being murder because there is “a law” that makes it legal disquieting. History reflects multiple occasions when “a law” made murder legal. An easy example is Hitler’s Germany. Everything Hitler did was legal – everything – within the laws of the country in the 1930s and 1940s. So that begs the question, whether it be a Jew or a human fetus, if the “law” says it’s not murder, is it not murder?
