Yvonne Allen: Expand background checks on gun sales

It is time to expand background checks on all gun sales, including those at gun shows. The American people are fed up with the increasing availability of guns that fall into the hands of those who shouldn’t have them.

In the ’80s, my brother, along with two others, was murdered in San Jose by a paroled felon who was able to get a gun with no background check whatsoever. Unfortunately, this kind of thing has happened to countless Americans. It is time to say enough!
