L.K. Wilkinson: Give Virginia Trail section a chance to blossom

Re: “Disappointed in 2nd leg of trail” (Letters, Aug. 14): I beg to disagree. It’s lovely and has lots of potential. Perhaps the letter writer doesn’t remember, or wasn’t around, when the section including the pedestrian overpass was opened. It, too, was sprayed with that gray stuff and, if memory serves, it’s loaded with flower and grass seeds. The other section also looked like a moonscape until its first winter. Wait until next spring; it’ll be well on it’s way! I walk this trail every day. And, no, I don’t share your opinion.
