Mayor should be a Republican

We need the best person available for our next mayor and it is not Garrad Marsh. Garrad is certainly a wonderful person, however, he is a Democrat and he supports their ideas. Mayor is a nonpartisan position, but it can also be a stepping stone for higher office. We need to nip bad politicians in the bud before they can do real harm statewide.

Garrad supported Obama and has not decided whether to support him for his second term. His campaign spent thousands on a lavish meet and greet. He has more signs up than any other candidate. He likes spending money. It means bigger government for Modesto, more taxes and more spending. Garrad said to me that he had only a couple of serious contenders for mayor and that they were little competition for him. We don't need his kind of politics in Modesto. Vote for a conservative Republican.
