Candice Carleton: City’s online complaint service will help get trees trimmed

Re “Trim trees now or pay more later” (Letters, Aug. 11): Instead of writing a letter to the editor, the writer could be part of the solution. If a tree is blocking a stop sign, go to Modestogov.com; click on “City Hall 24/7.” Select a topic; trees, perhaps. Provide your contact information and the details and submit the form. You will get a case number and a response. I did just that about an abundant myrtle tree blocking a stop sign on Virginia at Princeton. Within 24 hours it was trimmed. You really can’t expect them to be everywhere at once. We all need to do our part.
