Kit Lewis: National Night a great place to reconnect
I attended our La Loma area Neighborhood Watch National Night Out and potluck dinner. What a nice time; I even reunited with a classmate from high school, whom I hadn’t seen for 43 years. Turns out he lives right around the corner.
I want to express how impressed I was with Lt. Kelly Scott of the Modesto police, who attended the function. He was articulate and diplomatic fielding questions mostly about the problems with homelessness and residential burglary. What a nice public speaker.
