Daniel Brown: D’Souza perfect speaker for Republicans

Re “Conservative author D’Souza lures crowd to local fundraiser” (Page A4, Aug. 3): I must thank The Bee for covering Dinesh D’Souza’s speech at the fund raiser for the Modesto Republican Women Federated. I had thought my concern for those less fortunate than myself was based on empathy and concern for improving my community, but D’Souza showed me that I only care because I am envious of the rich.

Mine is just like the envy shown by the Samaritan in the Bible. Filled with envy for the wealthy men who left the beaten man to die in the ditch, he stopped, took him to an inn and paid for his care.

Thank you D’Souza. As Jim Demartini said, “He’s our kind of guy.” Now can anyone help me with the clutching greed I am left with?
