Bill Warner: Uproar over Planned Parenthood an excuse to cut its funding

The uproar over fetuses being used for medical research to help other children seems to be overblown and just an excuse for Congress to cut funding to Planned Parenthood. Many have written decrying the choices some make to end a pregnancy. Until a fetus can survive on its own, it’s not an individual – just a part of another.

Individuals should be able to make decisions that affect them without interference from others. Those who think it is wrong to end their pregnancies shouldn’t. The rest of you should follow scripture and MYOB (Thessalonians 4:11).

If you really want to reduce the number of abortions, you should be willing to pay the cost of providing a decent home, food and education for these potential children. This can be easily accomplished with a tax on those individuals and organizations who seem to care so much for them. We really don’t have a people shortage.
