Theodore Yates: Appropriate penalties for ripping off senior citizens

Re “Elderly couple robbed at home” (Page 2B, July 26): I have been in Modesto, Ceres, Oakdale for most all of my life. I have always been thankful for that because my upbringing is still a major factor in my beliefs, including respect for common, everyday manners. They go a long way when applied. At 56, and still going strong, I still open the car door for my wife simply because it is an honor. But when it comes to our seniors being victimized, let’s fix that. A fast horse and two ropes; hang ‘em high.
