Rob Gleeson: How are Islamist and ‘Christianists’ different?
Sharia is a system of law based upon the Koran and Islamic tradition. Until the recent Supreme Court decision, marriage was defined by the Bible and Christian tradition. I do not see any difference between the two. An “Islamist” is an extreme traditionalist believer whose belief is intertwined with his/her extreme political views. I do not see any difference between that and a “Christianist.” I would love to see both these two extremist groups moderate their views and exhibit the love for others that their religions teach.
