Linda Lee: If gays can marry, I want to adopt my pet
Regarding the Supreme Court rulings, I feel (remember, we make laws based on feelings) I should be able to adopt my dog Ralphie, a Boston Terrier. He is like my son and makes me feel loved. I should be able to adopt him, make him eligible for my husband’s medical benefits and dental benefits (I have his teeth cleaned once a year). I should be able to deduct him at the end of the year as a dependent. As my son, Ralphie makes me happy, feel loved; he gives me joy so why can’t I? Ralphie is a living creature of the world, a celestial being! Now I have to beat the polygamists to the Supreme Court! One look in Ralphie’s eyes, you will understand.
