Spencer Tacke: Rein in immoral judges, convene Constitutional Convention

We shouldn’t be surprised by recent Supreme Court decisions that have disregarded our country’s foundational history and moral values, including the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision allowing mothers to kill their own unborn children. But we can only hold ourselves, and especially our passive Christian Community, accountable. We elect immoral politicians, who pass immoral laws and appoint immoral court justices. We must remember that when Jesus was pushed too far, He took action. In the Gospel of John (2:14-15), He overturned tables and drove the money changers out of the temple with a whip.

John Adams, a Founding Father, said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

It is time for the patriots of this country to peacefully assemble in Washington and let our current administration and elected leaders know that enough is enough, similar to Martin Luther King Jr.’s 1963 March on Washington. Our Constitution allows for its revision, and with only 38 states required for approval our basic values can be guaranteed by revising our Constitution, regardless of what the minority of states such as California and Massachusetts decide.
