Gail Altieri: Bee’s moderator tied to Trinitas
Do I have this straight? The Bee selects Carol Whiteside to moderate a forum on water issues?
Is this the same Carol Whiteside who: a) met with various Groundwater Alliance members before the meeting in Knights Ferry on behalf of Trinitas Farming LLC; b) Called various members of the Groundwater Alliance expressing her concern on behalf of Ryon Paton, Trinitas partner, about “civility” issues at that meeting, and c) Is currently a paid consultant for Trinitas?
With tongue in cheek, she should visit and moderate an OID meeting if she’s so concerned about civility at meetings. Nonetheless, members of the Groundwater Alliance who will attend The Bee sponsored forum will a) Act with civility, and b) Trust that she can and will be fair and allow a balanced approach to the issues we currently face and will face in the near future.
