Lindsey Barth: Where were our pastors in fight against gay marriage?

June 26th was truly a dark spiritual day four our country. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that gay marriage is legal in all 50 states. The definitions of marriage, sex and families has now been redefined and perverted by the gay community.

For 10 years the believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have been mostly silent on this subject out of fear of the gay community. They did not want to be called homophobes. Even many of our pastors, shamefully before the Lord, refused to push back against the gay community concerning gay marriage. They refused to preach a sermon on gay sex and share the word of God concerning gays with their congregations. Romans 1:18-32, First Timothy 1:8-10, First Corinthians 6:9-11 and Jude 1:7 are just some of the verses left untouched by our church leaders. As the gay movement grew, Christians retreated into silence as the Lord Jesus Christ, God the father, and God the Holy Spirit watched.

“If anyone is ashamed of Me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.” – Mark 8:39
