Johanna Klein: Same-sex marriage first step to abolishing religious freedom
Regardless of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on “gay marriage,” we know, honor and worship the Holy God of the universe; we know that God created marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Man did not create marriage and has no right to change God’s perfect design.
We know from the hearing before the Supreme Court the homosexual community has admitted it will not be satisfied with gay marriage. Their goal? Abolish religious freedom, which means all religious schools, universities, businesses, hospitals and churches must thumb their noses at a Holy God and follow man’s ruling. Religious freedom is in the First Amendment for a reason; it’s the foundation for all other freedoms. If religious freedom falls so will all freedoms.
The Declaration of Independence tells us all our rights come from God, not from the ruling of men, which means your rights cannot be taken from you. Do “we the people” have a right to a voice by our vote? Yes, we do, yet in California we have been robbed of our vote. How important are your freedoms? Are you willing and ready to fight? God has not changed His mind about marriage!
“Blessed is the man (woman) who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly.” – Psalm 1:1
