Michael Hamiel: Could it get any worse for conservatives?
Oh, the horrors! Could it possibly get any worse? First it was the 8-foot statute of the 6-foot-1 Ronald Reagan relegated to the basement of the state Capitol. Then it was announced that ex-presidential candidate Sarah Palin was let go by Fox News, and now – the coup d’etat – Obamacare is upheld as the law of the land.
It’s a trifecta of doom and gloom, a perfect storm of bad news, a calamity of unfair proportions that has never been seen before. But wait, isn’t this the perfect time to hug a Republican, seal the open wounds of animosity and bring us back to doing what’s right for America? Look around you, search out that car with the faded “McCain for President” bumper sticker and give that driver a hug; they could use one.
