Rick Abshier: This is not a good year using fireworks

Dear Stanislaus County leaders:

Just exactly what are you thinking, or are you? Fireworks? We have another dry season, and Gov. Jerry Brown has everyone on water rations. Look around at the reservoirs and lakes; wells are drying up. Your feel it is warranted for groups selling fireworks to make money. Anyone participating in selling them would have a different opinion if they were the losers of private property or their animals run away and were never found because of the fireworks they sell.

Hey, you groups want to make money: Did you ever think about possibly mowing lawns or offering gardening or painting services instead of selling fireworks, which can possibly burn down someone’s dreams. Go figure, never learn.

Going to go see how much water I can waste, because that’s what this is all about.

Rick Abshier, Ceres
