Candice Carleton: College students shouldn’t litter nearby neighborhoods
I live in the College neighborhood on a corner. Students stuff their candy and cigarette wrappers in my bushes and drop their lunch bags in the gutter for me and other homeowners to pick up. This is college material? Come on! When one student use a bin, he invariably drops his plastic cups and straws in my green bin. Please pay attention.
Then there is the issue of dog poop. It does not go in the green bin. Yet once a week I find one lonely plastic bag of poop in the bottom of my green bin, even though I have written on the top of the bin “No plastic, No poop.” Thanks for picking it up, but use the black bin, please. If there’s a sticker on the front of the green bin, read it.
