John and Bette Perry: Why no mention of those who sacrificed during D-Day?
We were deeply saddened by the fact there was absolutely no mention of D-day in the June 6 Bee, except on the funny page. To be exact, it was “Peanuts,” by Charles Schultz, June 6, 1944, “To Remember.”
All the servicemen who died on that notorious day, and we are so ungrateful that we can’t commemorate them with some kind of acknowledgment on their day! Shame! Shame!
