Beverley Herrero-Hart: Failing to help those in need is evil

Re “Help before taking photos” (Letters, June 8): It is a horrid thing to see or hear about the inhumanity of what people do when a tragic event occurs. Acting without emotion or empathy toward anyone’s suffering is beyond understanding of the normal reaction. It actually falls under the definition of evil. Unfortunately, parts of our society seem to get a thrill from extreme events of any type of pain and suffering of others. But there is an old saying that does ring true, “what goes around, comes around.”
