Patsy Barnett: Forcing everyone (including cities, schools) to conserve water
Re “Sports fields won’t be allowed to go brown” (Page A1, May 28): That story really angered me. It’s expected for each household to reduce watering two two days and watch our lawns turn brown. Plus our household is catching dishwater, shower water in buckets, pumping rinse water from the washing machine to the yard. We know the water levels are low. Once the water is gone, what will happen to the soccer and baseball fields? If the residents have to conserve, so should the schools and city. What’s important, doing the right thing or allowing some to be exempt. It’s a no-brainer to me.
