Tom Gookin: Governor, we don’t need fireworks in a drought

Jerry, wake up! We’re in the midst of a four-year drought. Now is the time to man up and ban personal fireworks. Whether they’re the so-called safe-and-sane or illegal fireworks, both need an ignition source to activate. With extremely dry conditions and lack of water, now is the time to act.

P.S. The entire canine population will thank you and vote for you next time.

Tom Gookin, Oakdale
