Rita Matthews: Thanks to a generous young man
We want the world to know that on May 24, seven of my church friends met me for lunch at the Black Bear Diner in Modesto. When we were ready to pay our bills, the waitress told us that a very generous young man in jeans had paid our bill – “thanking” us.
Since we can think of no other way, we ask The Bee to thank this generous man from each of us. His generosity was a surprise ending of a beautiful morning worshipping together.
