Joan Corwin: Water plants while waiting for water to get hot
Re “This family doing its part” (Letters, May 10): In response to your Letter to the Editor, it’s encouraging to know that there are people out there who understand the seriousness of the drought and who are doing their part.
When riding my bicycle in the morning, I see the majority of homes with green lawns. It’s very frustrating, and especially seeing all the water running into the gutters.
An idea to add to the list: When waiting for the water to get hot at the kitchen sink, we collect that water and use it to water the plants in containers.
