Inge Kendall: Cloth diapers take effort, but save money
Re “Ignorant about poverty, many too quick to judge” (Opinion, May 10): I am tired of reading about diapers. I have a suggestion for your so-called bad public policy regarding throw away diapers. Start by using cloth diapers. No need to keep buying, just launder them. What a concept!
There is no excuse for keeping a child in one throw away diaper all day.
I raised two sons and used cloth diapers for lack of money. It takes a little effort to wash them. Eighteen dollars a week, you say, for throwaway diapers; in one month that would be $72 saved for another need. My sons lived, and without any rash.
